Located in the New England area of Sydney’s North West, Bingara is part of a masterplanned community looking over a golf course. Through the design process, we sought to alter the DCP building envelopes in order to provide equitable views to the majority of the dwellings. Houses located on the golf course had elongated upper levels to provide view corridors for dwellings located across the street.
Given the bushland surroundings we sought an Australian vernacular architecture for the facades, providing deep eaves, the use of raw natural materials, and an architectural form that responded to the natural environment.
